Manifesto

The next trillion-dollar companies will be those who manage to scale the efficiency and utility of critical resources. Electricity. Water. Carbon. Materials. The next transformational founders will not just write code. They will rebuild the physical foundations of civilization.

For the past fifty years, the greatest technology companies have transformed information. Computers, software, the internet, cloud computing and artificial intelligence have changed how the world communicates, computes and creates. The next great technological wave will be different. It will transform the physical world.

Tomorrow's constraints are not only informational. They are electricity, water, carbon and materials. As technology advances, these resources become more critical, not less. The companies that solve these constraints will define the next era of economic and societal growth.

Every major technological revolution has followed the same pattern: increasing productivity. Agriculture increased the productivity of land. Steam increased the productivity of labor. Electricity increased the productivity of industry. Computing increased the productivity of information. Artificial intelligence is increasing the productivity of knowledge. The next revolution will increase the productivity of resources.

Great opportunity will not come from replacing everything that exists today. It will come from making existing systems dramatically more productive. The technologies that define the future will integrate into today's infrastructure, create immediate economic value and scale over time.

Waste will become one of the world's largest tapped resources. Waste heat will become electricity or reduced demand. Wastewater will become a its own circular economy. Carbon will become a valuable input. Materials will become the foundation for new products and new industries. Inefficiency is opportunity, and the future belongs to companies that harness that.

The transformative companies of the next generation will be built where technology meets the physical world. These companies will not simply create new products. They will redefine how civilization operates. Sustainability will not be the reason these companies win. Differentiation will. Stronger economics, increased efficiency and differentiated outcomes are why these companies will become transformational. When economics pull through sustainability, adoption becomes inevitable.

An industrial revolution has already begun. The question is not whether the world will need more energy, more water, less carbon emissions and new materials. It will. The question is who will build the technologies that let humanity do more with what it already has. Those companies will define the next century.
